Motorprotek Paint Protection Film (PPF) Warranty Terms & Conditions

This page outlines the official warranty terms and conditions applicable to Motorprotek Paint Protection Film products installed on registered vehicles in India.

This warranty applies only to products covered under a valid Motorprotek Digital Warranty Certificate.

1. Scope of Motorprotek PPF Warranty Coverage

Motorprotek India Pvt Ltd warrants that its Paint Protection Film (PPF) products shall be free from manufacturing defects under normal use and service conditions for the warranty period specified on the Digital Warranty Certificate.

Covered Manufacturing Defects

The Motorprotek PPF warranty covers:

• Excessive yellowing due to material defect
• Cracking caused by film failure
• Bubbling due to adhesive defect
• Peeling resulting from adhesive separation
• Loss of gloss retention (applicable to gloss variants only)
• Adhesive performance failure under standard conditions

Warranty coverage applies only to verified manufacturing defects and not to external damage.

2. What Is Not Covered Under This Warranty

The Motorprotek Paint Protection Film warranty does not cover:

• Installation errors or workmanship defects
• Improper surface preparation
• Contamination during installation
• Edge lifting caused by poor trimming technique
• Stone chips, impact damage, collisions or accidents
• Scratches, vandalism or intentional damage
• Chemical damage from harsh cleaners, solvents or industrial fallout
• Bird droppings, tree sap, or water spotting not removed promptly
• Improper pressure washing practices
• Machine polishing or heat application by unauthorized personnel
• Normal wear and tear
• Damage to repainted or refinished surfaces

Motorprotek shall not be responsible for paint damage during film removal if the vehicle has been repainted, refinished, or previously repaired.

3. Installation Responsibility

Motorprotek India Pvt Ltd supplies Paint Protection Film material only.

Installation is performed by independent detailing studios or authorised applicators.

Motorprotek is not responsible for:

• Installation workmanship
• Surface preparation quality
• Alignment issues
• Cutting or trimming defects
• Labour-related damage

All installation-related concerns must be addressed directly with the installing studio.

4. Owner Maintenance Responsibilities

To maintain the validity of the Motorprotek PPF warranty, vehicle owners must:

• Avoid washing for 72 hours after installation
• Avoid pressure washing for 7 days
• Use only pH-neutral car shampoo
• Avoid abrasive pads or harsh chemicals
• Maintain minimum 1.5 feet distance during pressure washing
• Remove contaminants such as bird droppings or tree sap promptly

Failure to follow recommended aftercare guidelines may void warranty coverage.

5. Motorprotek PPF Warranty Claim Process

In the event of a suspected manufacturing defect:

  1. The vehicle owner must notify the installing studio.

  2. The studio must submit installation proof and photographs.

  3. Motorprotek reserves the right to inspect the vehicle.

  4. Film samples may be requested for technical evaluation.

Warranty approval is subject to verification of material defect.

6. Limitation of Liability

If a manufacturing defect is confirmed, Motorprotek’s liability is limited strictly to replacement of defective film material.

Motorprotek shall not be liable for:

• Labour costs
• Removal or reinstallation charges
• Transportation expenses
• Loss of vehicle use
• Indirect or consequential damages

Total liability shall not exceed the original material value invoiced.

7. Conditions That Void Warranty

The Motorprotek PPF warranty shall be void if:

• Film has been tampered with
• Serial numbers are altered
• Digital warranty certificate details are modified
• Unauthorized polishing or heat treatment is performed
• Film is partially removed or replaced
• Vehicle repaint history was undisclosed

8. Jurisdiction and Governing Law

This warranty shall be governed by the laws of India.

All disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts located in New Delhi.

9. Disclaimer

Paint Protection Film is a sacrificial protective layer designed to reduce surface damage.

It does not guarantee protection against all impact, scratches, or physical damage.
