What is 9H Ceramic Coating?

Ceramic Coating is one of the most advanced form of coating used for automotive paint protection. It is a semi-permanent coating compared to the temporary wax or teflon coating. It is Silica Dioxide (Si02) coating, which forms a hard bond after few hours when applied to the paint. It is 1 to 1.5 microns of thickness.

Motorprotek Ceramic Coating lasts from 1 to 2 years depending upon the after care and maintainance of the vehicle.

Is it suitable for all cars and bikes?

Yes. Motorprotek Ceramic Coating is suitable for all paints, including bikes and Cars.

Can it be used on glasses, alloy wheels and plastic trims as well?

Yes. It is effectively a paint protection solution. However, It can be used on Glasses, alloy wheels and plastic parts as well for extra protection, however, it wouldn't make any visual difference.

Can the coating be applied to the interior parts as well?

Motorprotek Ceramic Coating is originally made for the painted parts and plastic parts. So it can be applied to the interior plastic parts such as dashboards, piano finishes, and painted interior parts for high gloss and scratch protection.

What is the shelf life of Motorprotek Ceramic Coating?

Motorprotek Ceramic Coating has a shelf life of 2 years if unopened and stored in a cool and dry place. Just keep it away from extra cool temperatures (freezer) and direct sunlight.

Does the coating layer hide swirl marks and small scratches as well?

Motorprotek Ceramic Coating is a paint protection instruments and hide swirl marks to a very minor level. The preparation phase which includes paint correction or buffing would be required to completely remove swirl marks totally before applying the ceramic coating.

Is it suitable for only new vehicles or old vehicles as well?

It is suitable for both new and old vehicles. However, if the vehicle is older than 1 year, the optimal method is to do paint correction (buffing or polishing) before applying the ceramic coating. Refer to the help section for preparation of ceramic coating.
